Observation details

About 20 yards out in the marsh. First heard making chit calls (see audio), then seen well—black crown and white eyeline, reddish in back/flanks. (I’m nearly certain I heard a few chit notes here on 1/17, but did not report then.) Appears to be the first January record for the Triangle (a few Feb records).
