Observation details
*****MEGA! Re-found by Robert Munro & Co at 33.8014779, -106.8694381 (North Loop, first narrow rectangular pond once road turns towards the North). Unmistakable crane with black neck, white back of head/neck, "floofy" tail bustle, black wingtips. Foraging and hanging out with Sandhill cranes in the pond. After a period of activity it appeared to doze briefly with its head and neck tucked into its wing feathers, but it became more active closer to ~4:45pm, and appeared to roost there as of 5:35pm. Seen with ~10-15 other birders. Photos.
