Observation details
At least one and likely two individuals present in dense vegetation about 50-75 m above the dam on the west side of the stream. First heard giving typical "seet" call notes from underbrush and eventually seen in two places separated by 30 m. Towards the end, I was fairly convinced I was hearing two individuals, but never could see more than one at a time, and only for 2-3 seconds before it dove back for cover. Did not respond well to pishing. Pima County bird.
