Observation details
Immature bird, on river just below dam. The white flash at the base of the primaries stood out. Tips of primaries dark. White rump with dusky tail obvious in flight. Pinkish legs, bill mostly dark, but some gray at the base. Somewhat speckled plumage. Dark eye. Larger by 10-20% than the Ring-billed Gulls. Several photos.
