Observation details
**Very rare; fourth county record. Female/immature male initially spotted by Joel as it perched up above a distant hedge grove across the first field on left along the road. JSE quickly got MAE on it, noting how much it looked like a PABU. MAE then got the scope on the bird, confirming PABU. However, almost as soon as he got on it the bird flew. We spent the next 2 hours thoroughly searching the area without success. Bird was last seen flying across field towards road and coast. JPE and AEE only got poor views of it flying. Obvious bunting shape from a distance but color was only noted through the scope views and pictures. Somewhat finch shaped bird with longish tail and decent sized finch like gray bill. Overall coloring was bright green with a yellow green stomach and darker green back.
