Observation details
Heard giving excited trill of "timp" call notes consistent with the species. Heard several times over about 5 minutes. Trill seemed somewhat more erratic and less metallic than the trill of the Pacific Wren heard yesterday. Seen briefly skulking in rushes adjacent to the nature trail on the east side about halfway between the deadfall and the rodent mound. This is about 40 yards from where I heard a Pacific Wren the evening before. Surprised to find both stub-tailed species here, though the habitat is good.
