Observation details
Continuing bird first discovered on August 31. 1st winter plumage. Slightly larger than nearby laughing gulls (but heavier-looking). Definitely much smaller than nearby herring gull. Dark chocolate color stuck out like a sore thumb from the other birds. Found today standing at boardwalk immediately at the entrance marked 9. When we left, it was still standing there, a few feet away from some sunbathers.
