Observation details
Large swallow flock flew-over visitor's center lagoon area. Small swallows with whitish underparts, dark uppersides, no forked tails like Barn Swallows, and rapid wingbeats. My sense in the field was Violet-green, but I couldn't confidently make out the degree of white on the sides of the rump and face. Photos helped to confirm ID. Flock of approx. 20 swallows. In the field, all the swallows seemed to be the same size with similar tail shape and color contrast. With Curtis' advice, I moved a portion of this flock into swallow sp. to be on the safe side.
