NOTES: Range status: NORMAL; Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED; General climate: HUMID; Cover density: NONE; 20 ADULT(S); MALE(S); FEMALE(S) [The only species with any signal here are gulls. There is also Cepphus columba and Zonotrichia leucophrys in the background, but any vocalizations given by the cormorants are very quiet. I suppose that the low, soft, "aaah" calls (1:22, 1:26, 1:54, 2:02, 3:55, 4:10), the slightly higher, "eern" calls (2:03, 2:08, 2:51, 2:54, 4:18, 4:21), and the series of notes at 3:48-3:54 and 5:04-5:17 were given by this species, but the series at 1:33-1:40 and possibly the ones 2:32-2:36 and 5:03-5:04 appear to have been given by gulls. In all honesty, I can't say that anything here could not have been given by a gull and even if some calls were given by the cormorant, I cannot determine which calls described in BNA account are represented. Quality for what appear to be recordings of P. pelagicus changed from 2-3 to 3 - CAM - 19 November 2004]. Other Behaviors: Court, Arrive, Social Context: Colony. Habitat: Island, Rocky.
