Observation details

Bird was soaring very high in the sky near the "S" curve on the north portion of Loop Rd, near 30.012697, -97.124709. A large white spot on the upper breast surrounded by dark caught my attention as did the dark “armpits”. Also visible were the dark tips on the primaries with a lighter area closer to the body. A dark “comma” was also visible. By the time a truck passed and I got out to photograph, the bird was flying further away. I was unable to refind the bird. The bird looked most like the light juvenile in Sibley.
