Observation details

Location: Cottage complex at Patricia Beach, amongst evergreens at about 2 m above ground, about 20cm from trunk. Attention by 7 noisy B-C Chickadees. Small owl, yellow eyes, black pupils, rusty grey blotches on underparts in rows, crown spots in rows, i.e. not a Boreal Owl. Allowed close-up views and photos to be taken. Revealed later from photos: deer mouse is held in its claws!
