Observation details
Feeding on flats with Laughing, Ring-billed and Herring Gulls. Slightly smaller than the Laughings with a completely different body shape. The shape was more pigeon like, with a small head and round body, giving it a pot-bellied look. The head was about 60% black (back half was black, front (in front of eye) was white), with 2 prominent white eye crescents. The bill was smaller and thinner than nearby Laughing Gulls. I did not see it fly, so I was unable to view the wing pattern. Three poor photos are included. FRGU_1 shows dark hood and small head on a chunky body, FRGU_2 shows dark hood and size comparison to Laughing Gull (which is 3 birds to the left), and FRGU_3 shows small, dark head, too.
