Media notes
Heard the interesting very short call of Varied Thrush – foraging on deciduous trees (https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/185267131) – a very low-volume sound like movement of an electromagnetic field. Duration is about one second and frequency of the harmonics range from 2 kHz to10 KHz, with the harmonic with highest volume ("second partial") being at about 4 KHz. It was so low volume that I was not successful in normalizing the recording to -3 dB without noise covering up the target sound. I guess the song of Varied Thrush is an intense and durative continuation of this electromagnetic-field-like sound.
