Observation details
In the field I felt pretty good these were a flock of Vaux's Swfits passing through, I was able to get photos! Upon looking at the photos I wondered if they might be Northern Rough-winged Swallows, but there is no sign of a slightly notched tail, the throat is slightly lighter colored than the breast (the opposite would be true of Northern Rough-winged), and the wings do seem more narrow and pointy, especially in the second photo which is what I recalled from the field (the long narrow boomerang look). After this examination, I felt better again about Vaux's Swfits.
