Observation details
At around 5:40 while working around the bar on west lake I was first alerted of this bird presence when it giving it’s somewhat “soft sounding” curlew-like whistle. Familiar with this call I knew immediately what it was and looked behind me pleased to see the bird flying by at a fairly close range. I tried recording the call without luck but noted a fairly large silvery-gray plover with black auxiliary patches below the wing. I then attempted to follow where the bird went to relocate for documentation and eventually spotted the bird flying over again, this time I was successful in getting a recording. Audio is of a different call than the call I originally o served the bird giving.
