Observation details
Upon arriving at the beach Turk told me there had been a Peregrine hanging around, but it didn't show up until I was just about to leave the beach. After a small flock of peeps started to scatter I glanced up and saw it to the east, maybe 200 feet up and diving toward the edge of the water. A second or two after I looked back down it swooped in and plucked one of the slower SEPL from the sand before flying back up and heading west. It all happened in the course of just a few seconds. Very cool.
