Observation details
Very confusing. All either Beach or Melanesian (Collared). 5 were Beach types, with very white head and limited black mask but one was obviously dark-headed, and hence should be Melanesian. It came into playback of Collared and was extensively dark masked, with a small narrow brow and creamy supercilium - ie closest to subsp. stresmanni. However, Melanesian of any form is not mapped for Manus / Tong (although has been noted in at least a few trip reports).
