Observation details
This was SUCH a cool sighting. This Sunbittern appeared to be foraging in the puddles just past the parking lot on Pipeline Road. When it saw us, it walked quickly away, but stayed on the road. We continued walking along the road, with the Sunbittern also walking along the road about 20m ahead, for quite some time. Eventually, it encountered two agoutis on the road. Once it got close to them, it displayed its wing patterns and vocalised aggressively at them, apparently trying to scare them off. After doing so, it continued walking down the road about 30 more meters before turning and walking into the forest.
