Observation details
Audio recorded. Almost certainly the same individual reported here on 5Sep as Empid sp. with notes as probable Traill's flycatcher. Traill's-type flycatcher with minimal eyering mostly staying in low alder/willow mixed thicket but popping up twice in good view (although too quickly for photos; one time I got it out of focus in the viewfinder before it flew). Aggressive interaction with a juv. WEVI, which I think initiated the bird to give repeated 'pip' vocalizations easily long enough to pull out my phone and record video. Exact same spot as 5Sep bird, in the willow/alder thicket at the bottom of stairs behind picnic pavilion where the seepage outlet from the creek passes under the parking area into the river swale.
