Observation details
Two were reported yesterday. Today there were three. A thin, needle like bill distinguishes these from Red Phalaropes with their heavier bill, and the boldly striped back coupled with the black line running back from the eye on an otherwise white face is indicative of juvenile Red-necked Phalaropes (see pg. 195 in The Sibley Guide to Birds 2nd. Ed.).
