Observation details
Early and rare for this location. Big-headed, short-tailed flycatcher up in a typical bare snag above the entrance road, just as you come out of the woods. I actually noticed it as I was leaving. Dark vest, whitish throat and mid-breast. I only had the bird in view for about three minutes before it flew off, then an EAWP flew in to the same snag, so I wasn't sure what I had until I got the photos on the computer.
