Media notes
The video from which this audio is extracted contains, in addition to the audio, also images of the spoonbills in the colony in trees perhaps 80 yards in front of me. The same video contains shots of both adult and young Roseate Spoonbills. Compare the present audio with that of the recording/sonogram ML92768011 of Roseate Spoonbill. In both cases, looking at the sonograms one finds rectangles of darkness, taller than they are wide, about six rectangles per second, and consisting of horizontal lines (clearer in ML92768011 than in my sonogram, but visible in the latter as well). The kHz range is somewhat different, 0-3 in ML92768011; 0-6 in the tallest rectangles in my sonogram. But I have found spoonbill sonograms in which the height of the rectangles is even greater than 6 kHz, e.g., ML89610221.
