Duet of a group with probable F1 hybrid female with backcross daughter to pileated male. (See Brockelman & Schilling 1984, in Nature). Group SY3, with hybrid female and daughter. 11:00: Start with alarm hoos by hybrid daughter and by adult hybrid who gives inhale-exhale hoos. Then an extra pileated female intruder gives a solo great call (distorted due to overload). Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm. Habitat: Tropical Forest, Evergreen Forest.
