Group SY4, hybrid group. The adult female is a presumptive F1 hybrid, with a juvenile that sings along that sounds more pileatus-like. The male is a normal pileatus. In this pileatus duet, the female has a long initial hoot that somewhat drops in pitch and does not have the upward inflection. Habitat: Tropical Forest, Evergreen Forest.
