Observation details
Known pair about .5 miles up Dead Man’s Canyon Trail. Tiny, compact empidonax flycatcher with a thin, short tail and a seemingly big head. Brownish mantle, cap, and wings with two worn wingbars. Creamy-buff underparts and collar, with a brighter ochre color to the chest. Bill relatively short; dark maxilla, orange mandible with a dusky tip. Slight hint of buffy postocular blotch. Pale buffy lores. Photos.
