NOTES: LNS note: Long song. SAS 03/01/2002. THESE ARE NEARLY ALL 'LONG' (AGGRESSIVE) SONGS. MANY OF THE FIRST SONGS ARE DIFFERENT IN THAT THEY CONTAIN 'HISS' NOTES INTERSPERSED IN THE LATTER PART OF THE SONG. THESE WERE ONLY GIVEN BY A FEW OF 40-50 BUNTINGS STUDIED; GIVEN ONLY IN 'LONG' SONGS AND ONLY IN RESPONSE TO PLAYBACK. THEY PROBABLY INDICATE A HIGH EMOTIONAL LEVEL. Same subject(s) as LNS 16940. Sound stimulation was (other): PLAYBACK SAME SPECIES. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Advertise.
