The male is perched approx. 12 ft. the ground in a medium sized tree. It vocalizes quietly and then flies to another branch approx. 15 ft. to its left and sharpens its bill on that branch. The female then flies to a branch approx. 12 ft. from the mic. The male flies away approx. 50 ft. to another tree and returns. The female remains within 20 ft. of the mic, but does not vocalize. Throughout the recording the mechanical sounds of the birds sharpening their bills, moving thier wings, and moving amongst the branches can be heard.
