At the beginning of the recording, there are two birds, one on each side of the feeder. A third bird flies and lands next to one of the original birds. One of the original birds flies off, and the third bird flies in and lands. Finally, the fifth bird flies in and lands. During the entire recording, the mechanical sounds of the feeder's hinged lids can be heard being opened and closed by the birds as they feed.
