Media notes
At the beginning of the recording, the microphone is directed towards the 3 tropicbirds. The sounds of a nearby Latania loddigesii blowing in the wind can be heard. At approx. 1:03, two petrels (dark morph chasing a light morph) fly from behind the microphone to within approx. 5 ft of it at approx. 3 ft. from the ground calling as they pass. The birds turn back towards the mic and pass by again at a greater distance. At approx. 1:27 two petrels (light morph chasing a dark morph - unknown if it is the same pair) pass by the microphone at a slightly larger distance than the original pass. Some petrel calls can then be heard in the distance, but the birds are unseen.
