Media notes
The birds are facing towards the west into a strong west to east wind. The wind is holding the birds stationary as they make their calls. They are all intermittently positioning their bodies in a more vertical position while at the same time fluttering their wings. It is not possible to distinguish which individual birds are making which individual calls. At approx. :50, two petrels (a light morph chasing a dark morph) fly between the microphone and tropicbirds, halving the distance (approx. 50 ft.) and one of them makes a call. LNS: 100Hz AUHipass filter applied in soundBlade.
