FOX SPARROW NO. 8 (LNS 16060) AND ANOTHER BIRD WERE SINGING THE SAME SONG PATTERN. THESE BIRDS WERE ON ADJACENT TERRITORIES. THEY SANG 1 MALE(S) VERY WELL WHEN PRIMED WITH THE BIRD'S SONGS FROM THE LOWER ALTITUDE. TWO BIRDS CAME TO THE INITIAL PLAYBACK (LNS 16059 AND 16060). Sound stimulation was (other): PLAYBACK SAME SPECIES. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise.
