Observation details
Near the north parking lot, a cuckoo swooped from the pine trees atop the gentle hill, going eastwards from tree to tree. Every time I tried to get a picture, it was chased by either a Red Winged Blackbird or an American Robin. But I somehow did manage a shot of its tail and with the help of Ron Pittaway, I was able to confirm Yellow Billed Cuckoo. I do remember seeing a yellow bill but it was very brief and wasn't sure if the light was playing tricks on me, and when it flew it seemed exceptionally light brown on its back...almost yellow. As per Ron "The white outer webs of the outer tail feathers and large white spots make it a Yellow-billed Cuckoo."
