American Oystercatcher pair, one banded. San Francisco Island. April 24, 2019.
Observation details
We saw pairs of American Oystercatchers in several places which was normal. But I took photos of one pair that patiently stayed about 50 feet away from me, on San Francisco Island, Sea of Cortes, Mexico, April 24, 2019. Afterwards I found out that it was banded. Aluminum metal on lower left leg, green plastic on upper right leg. I am going to try to report that to someone who might be able to use the information. No numbers visible in my photos.
