Media notes

About 30ft in remote lagoon. Vocalizations begin when the two birds are chest-to-chest doing the 'head-banging' dance. After the high-pitched trill ends, the two birds make a different vocalization as they swim off together side by side and begin to present each other with nest material. Towards the end of the recording two other birds come in to 'break up' the pair, a common behavior. Other individuals can be heard singing in the background.
