Observation details
Bird first heard singing on the east side of the road south of the gun range. Located in the second field with white fence posts (tallest vegetation). Observed the bird have a brief interaction with another sparrow before it came close enough to photograph. Relatively a nondescript sparrow with large bill and fairly long tail. Rufous crown and stripe behind the eye. Upper coverts also had a slight amount of rufous coloring. No streaking in the breast or flanks. Photos added later.
