Adult female has reddish nape, but not reddish greater coverts.
Observation details
Many flying in the fields on the north side of 400W. Many groups of these, and Smith's Longspur, coming down to drink at a small ponded water area just north of the entrance to parking area J. Also drinking from a shallow drainage ditch with standing water.
