Perched just above the water reservoir
Observation details
This Ornate Hawk-Eagle flew into the trees next to a small water reservoir, accompanied by a mob of loudly calling brown jays. It first stayed for a few minutes in the trees, checking out the surroundings and eventually flying down and back up twice to walk along the water for a few meters, then standing in the shallow water, and bending down several times to drink, looking up periodically and checking its surroundings. After perching for a few more minutes flew into the trees away from the reservoir. Its stay at the reservoir lasted 15 minutes. What a special encounter!
