Observation details
bird flushed from edge of meadow and flew into thick under brush. the bird was extremely difficult to relocate, but finally got a glimpse of movement and saw the bird walking on some dead loges very low to the ground. bird was very secretive and would sit in one place for a long time. finally got to see the bird in the open and had very good close looks. bird was larger then a yellowthroat with a yellow belly and UT coverts. head was fairly large with a gray hood and upper chest. eye was very large and dark, with a very bold complete white eye ring. back and tail were over all a greenish brown.
