NOTES: Weather: WIND; HAD AN EXCELLENT CLOSE LOOK AT A STRONG-BILLED HONEYEATER, PRESUMED MALE JUST BEFORE TAPING. AS I GOT READY TO RECORD THE BIRD IT FLEW FROMAN EXPOSED PERCH INTO SOME DENSE FOLIAGE. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS WHAT WAS ALMOST SURELY THE SAME INDIVIDUAL SANG THE SONG TAPED HERE. I SAW IT AGAIN BUT NOT WHILE IT WAS SINGING. HUMID, TEMPERATE, MATURE FOREST,THOUGH WITH SOME CLEARINGS AND THICKETS BORDERING THE ROAD. EARLY AFTERNOON. 1 ADULT(S); MALE?. Habitat: Forest, Thicket/Brush.
