Identification should be confirmed; viridicauda was netted up the road. At least three males singing along this stretch of roadside vegetation. LNS: The subject of this recording was changed from Amazilia viridicauda to A. chionogaster on 13 Oct 2010, as per the instructions of the recordist. His comments on this recording, from a 12 Oct 2010 e-mail, follow: "After comparing the two cuts of A. viridicauda to other MLNS online material and that on xeno canto, I now believe the birds that I recorded were chionogaster. Also, it should be clearly indicated with that data that the identification is still uncertain given that the birds were not collected and these two taxa are extremely similar and may even hybridize." LNS: 75 Hz AUHipass filter applied in soundBlade to both segments. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Montane Grassland.
