Media notes
Middle bird. The bird had a bit more black barring on the belly than what you can see, with at least three broad black bands.
Observation details
**Rare. We had pulled over to look through an interesting mixed flock of geese that was comprised of both Canada and Snow Geese, when I noticed this bird. I first detected it by the presence of at least broad black bars on the belly. After this, I saw the bright orange feet and a pinkish-orange bill with white border between the bill and the rest of the face. Unfortunately, I only saw the bird well for a couple seconds before I attempted to exit car and give (very bad) directions to where bird was in the flock and obtain photos as bird flew with flock rapidly to the north. We turned around to try to meet the flock again, but it flew NNW and headed out over open water and we were not able to find the flock again. Bad but diagnostic photos.
