Observation details
Along gravel road and near the bird-banding area, a very small sparrow flew out of the grass and into the lowest branches of a bush. Behavior was unusual for more common sparrows, as it was very still and did not move from its perch. I never saw its entire body at once, but I looked at it for a full three minutes. Prominent eyering with orange-yellow patch on face. Yellow bordering of the wings visible in some pictures. Sides buffy with no streaking.
