Observation details
I was pretty excited to see this guy... When I first spotted him he was flying probably a half mile to the west. At first I thought it was probably going to be a Turkey Vulture, due to the dark color and the slight dihedral in the wings when soaring, but fortunately it was moving generally in my direction. I shot photos and video, and the bird passed south of me and continued on toward the east.
