Observation details
Too be determined This is a section of a two mile long flotilla of Snow Geese on Thomas Hill Reservoir. The issue with flock size is in the width of the flock in this photo. The distance from shore to shore at this point in the lake is 4,183 feet. I am taking the photo from about 15 feet above the east shoreline. The question for out geometry buffs is how wide is the flotilla of snow geese? 100, 200, 300 400, 500 or more wide? In the series of photos by PM below, none of them are photos of the same spot on the long string of birds.
