Observation details

Spotted at 5:00 pm near corner of old airstrip near park exit. Bird perched in lower canopy. Drooping wings and cocking tail. Submitting to EARC for further verification. Along with two other pied flycatchers seen on same day. Possible 4th-6th records in Kenya. Description by James Bradley below: 1) the absence of pale tips to the median coverts that would form a upper, and second pale wing bar in Semicollared. 2) the barely noticeable white bases to the inner primaries, that just show from underneath the primary coverts. This would be more extensive in Semicollared, reaching the leading edge of the wing and extending further down the primaries. 3) the tail looks to be white edged only a portion of the way down, which would reach the tip in Semicollared.
