Observation details
Just a ten minute observatiuon period for the daily count but feeding station is extremely busy this winter and any longer will just result in recounting same birds Took about two minutes to estimate and record the bird quantities and then did it again three more times and averaged results. This count represents all the birds in my yard during the observed 10min period. They feed in cycles that last about 30-45 minutes then 10-15 minutes resting in the trees around the yard and then they gorge again. Feeding period starts about 8am and lasts until about 4pm. Feeder 1: 60 Feeder 2: 15 Feeder 3 15 Feeder 4: 20 Railings 30 Deck: 30 On ground(snow): 30 In surrounding trees and alders: 100 Total: 250 Will attach two pics to single log for each day to represent the bird activity we see all day.
