Observation details
Very likely the same individual TUDU that was resident in Jack’s Creek last winter (Jan 2018 through Feb 2018). While scoping a raft of mixed duck species this one TUDU obligingly swam directly into scope view in excellent light. Small duck; dark, iridescent head plumage with prominent feather tuft; dark back; bright white sides on floating duck with a very sharp line between dark back and white wings; dark upper breast on floating duck; bird was in close association with many GADW, LESC, and AMCO; bird repeatedly dove below water.
