Observation details
This individual was sighted first, both on the uphill and then returning downhill about an hour later. Elevation was 5708 feet, along the creek, where the road has square concrete pavers (31.46469, -110.36146). The location was much higher elevation than the other two. I was able to get someone in a car on it also to enjoy great looks. The first sighting, on our ascent, it was silent, by the water, and came down to the creek. The second sighting, on our descent, it was feeding, sallying out and returning to either the same branch or slightly different position. It also called softly a few times. This individual was a male, with extensive red on the breast and belly and a white band. This was the first time I saw the "copper" tail: the sun hit the tail at a certain angle and it actually looked like metallic copper.
