NOTES: This identification was made by my Samoan informants who say that this bird's voice has a different spacing from similar moans uttered by Ducula pacifica. I have my doubts. The bird was unseen in the dense forest, so I have no behavioral context to offer. However, a short while before I made this recording, and at a significantly lower elevation, I did see one Tooth-billed Pigeon, which did not vocalize. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
