***mega; almost certainly the same individual seen here last weekend. It was previously thought to have been caught by a Merlin. It is now missing its tail, so it apparently escaped the Merlin. Digiscoped photos and video. Refound by Tom Burke and Gail Benson along the main road about 25 m west of the Coast Guard entrance road. It was foraging in the grass on the north side of the road from approximately 8:45-9:00am. It flew off into the dense vegetation in the median to the southwest. tail pin feathers clearly visible
